TextFate is an offline interactive fiction game. We do not collect your name, email address, or any information that identifies you personally. This policy explains exactly what we do collect and why.
What we store on your device
TextFate saves your reading progress, endings discoveredrences (theme, text speed, ambient sound level) to yourdevice using iOS standard local storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
Anonymous usage analytics
TextFate uses TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous usage sd how the app is used and improve it. Examples of what is tracked:
- Which stories are opened and how long is spent in them
- Which endings are reached
- Onboarding steps completed
- Settings changed (e.g. theme selected)
- Whether the app was launched for the first time
What TelemetryDeck does not collect: your name, email, IP address, location, or any content of your choices. TelemetryDeck is designed around
privacy — signals are cryptographically hashed before tr users cannot be identified, even by TelemetryDeck. Datais aggregated and cannot be traced back to a specific person or device.

After completing a story ending for the first time, Textapp using Apple’s standard review prompt. This is handled entirely by Apple — we do not receive any personal information from this interaction.
